  • Heard about Angelo’s (Dave Portnoy gave it a 9.3 so we HAD to try it), first night in NYC on Christmas Eve! Pleasantly surprised that it met our expectations! Bartender was great company, drinks were tasty and warmed our LA bodies, pizza came out fast and was an amazing time!! Visiting NYC? Hit Angelos!

  • A classic pizza place that is always highly rated. We came around 12:30 and it was already packed. The guy who took our names down came out to check on all of us and give us updates frequently to make sure we knew we were not forgotten. Excellent service and a fantastic thin crust fresh pizza by the pie with fresh toppings. We did 3 pies, half meatball and half pepperoni, white with arugula and cheese with mushroom. The white with arugula was my personal favorite. But we left no slice behind. It is as good as they say it is, and with good service.

  • My parents and I needed somewhere to eat, after a long morning of walking around New York. We decided to pop into Angelo’s because their pizza was shown as “coal oven” - something we are more accustomed to back in South Africa. We were incredibly pleased with the flavour, the taste and overall quality of the pepperoni pizza that we shared between the 3 of us that day. My dad went as far as to say that it is the best pizza he has had in the US - after having lived and travelled across the US for the past 10 years now.

  • Let me tell you about Angelo’s! Mmm mm mmm as good as an ice cold lemonade on a summers day! The best meatballs and cheese ravioli around! Also playing the Christmas classics this time of year! Someone call my mom and say the pledge of allegiance! Best Italian in the city!

  • We ordered a 17-inch Margherita pizza. The crust was thin and chewy, but the flavor itself wasn’t anything particularly special. The pizza was simple and decent, but the seating was quite tight and uncomfortable. The tables were very close to each other, especially when the place was busy. It’s just a regular, average pizza restaurant.

  • Easily the most amazing pie I’ve enjoyed during my visit to NYC this week! The sauce was rich and full of flavor, and the crust had that perfect balance of crispness and softness. We were so eager to dig in that the photo was taken after we had already devoured half of it! The pasta dishes also tasted fresh and seemed to be made right in-house. every bite was delicious. We’re already planning to stop by again the next time we’re in town.

  • Angelo’s Pizza is exactly what you want when you’re craving a proper New York slice done right. No frills, no hype—just consistently excellent pizza that speaks for itself. The crust is the standout: thin, crisp, and sturdy enough to fold without losing structure, with that unmistakable NYC chew and char. The sauce is bright and well-balanced, the cheese perfectly melted and never greasy, and the overall slice hits that ideal harmony of flavor and texture that’s surprisingly hard to find, even in New York. What really sets Angelo’s apart is reliability. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch, a late-night slice, or feeding a small group, the quality never slips. Service is fast, efficient, and friendly—exactly what you want in a Midtown spot where time matters. Angelo’s Pizza is a reminder that great pizza doesn’t need reinvention—just experience, consistency, and respect for the craft. A true Midtown staple and an easy recommendation for locals and visitors alike.

  • I tried the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the pepperoni pizza, and both were really good! The Fettuccine Alfredo was creamy, rich, and perfectly seasoned. The sauce had a smooth texture and just the right balance of flavor — not too heavy but still indulgent. The chicken was tender and cooked nicely, blending well with the pasta. The pepperoni pizza was also a hit — very thin crust, crispy on the edges, and topped with just the right amount of cheese and pepperoni. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients in both dishes. The restaurant itself seems to have a bit of a historical background, which adds to its charm and cozy character. It’s one of those places that feels like it’s been loved by the community for a long time. Even at 2:30 p.m. on a Saturday, the restaurant was packed with people enjoying their meals, which says a lot about how popular it is. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They made sure everything was good and checked in at the right times. The service felt genuine and professional. Overall, it was an excellent experience — delicious food, warm atmosphere, and great service.
